Babe needs a new home. Approx. 4 years ago my family and I adopted a female beagle about 3 years old from a co-worker. A couple of years later I became disabled and we are now on a fixed income and can no longer afford to take care of her. I have a son who is special needs and cannot go into day care so that my wife can work, so we are trying to find her a good home to live out the rest of her years.

Her name is Babe, she is a very timid dog. She had been seized from an abusive owner who broke her spirit. She was about a year old at that time.

She is very good with kids, house broken. (If left alone for more than 8 hours she might have an accident). The only thing we have not been able to correct is her aggression toward cats. She does well with other dogs and can do the usual tricks. Sit, beg, lay down, roll over, and shake hands. She will not speak (bark) on command, when she does bark she cowers like she was beaten for barking. Also, if she is outside she needs to be in a fenced yard or on a leash, otherwise she will take off to explore; however, she will return in an hour or two when she's tired.

She has been spayed and was current on all her shots at the time we got her. She has always been fed dry dog food. She likes Beneful, Kibbles and Bits and Gravy Train. She will need her booster shots.

$75.00 Adoption Fee applies. For more information, please call 405-577-6411 or e-mail Nathan.Calvert@cox.net
