Hi! I’m Miral. The picture above is old, I’ve grown quite a bit since then and mom says I’m even getting pudgy. I am very active and maybe even a little shy. Mom says I’m a sweet baby. She found me at the old GM plant. You see she works for the government and they have started using that building. She saw me run from the outside wall to the crate I was hiding in at the time. The next day she brought me some canned food, but I still wouldn’t let her touch me. The day after that some other people saw me playing in the aisle and were afraid I would get smashed by some of the big metal things that run up and down in the building. They tricked me into a carrier with some tuna and closed the door on me. I freaked out and made a total mess in the carrier. I still freak out a little when I am put in a carrier now.

They had seen her by my crate and went looking for her. When they found her, she agreed to take me and try to find another home for me. Mom thinks I hitched a ride to the building in someone’s car from their neighborhood because I was so young and not totally scared of people.

She can’t let me run loose all the time because of her own cats. She says I need to find my Furr-ever Home so that I can run and climb and gets all sorts of lovin’ that she can’t give me. Can you give me a furr-ever home? Can you give me lots of love? If so, can you talk to my foster mom about giving me a new home? Pet adoption fee:
Cats & dogs may be viewed and adopted from the Pets and People shelter in Yukon seven days a week,
Monday through Sunday from 12:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.

 • Dogs 20 pounds and under - $100
 • Purebred dogs/puppies - $100
 • Dogs over 20 pounds - $80
 • Kittens 6 months and under - $70
 • Kittens/Cats over 6 months - $65

Pet adoption fee includes:
 • Spay/Neuter
 • Inoculations
 • Worming
 • Cats - Feline Leukemia test (negative result)
 • Dogs - Heart worm test (negative result)

All adult pets are spayed/neutered, come with current rabies certification and tags, are up to date with other vaccinations, have tested negative for various diseases pertaining to their species, and are wormed.
Pets that are too young for altering come with a spay/neuter certificate that is redeemable for a spay/neuter procedure with a Pets and People participating vet. You are required, by contract, to fulfill this procedure when adopting a pet this age by either redeeming the certificate or by use of a personal veterinarian.
Some of the pets' biographies have comments written about them such as "Litterbox Certified", "Housebroken", etc. A lack of comments on a pet's biography does not necessarily mean the pet lacks positive characteristics.  Since we rescue from kill-shelters, we have very little information about most of our pets.  For this reason, we offer a 7-day foster adopt program.  Take any pet home for up to 7 days and if it doesn't work out, receive a full refund of the adoption fee.  The pet may be exchanged at no additional cost up to 30 days.
