Meet Russett - he’s an awesome boy who has been at the shelter longer than any other dog in our program. He’s 8 years old and has been with us since he was a very young dog. What’s the problem with him, you might ask... nothing now. Russett has always been a little shy with strangers and was tagged as not liking men. But between mellowing with age and the wonderful progress made by his mentors, Jerry Webb and Autumn Hollis, Russett is now an awesome boy who deserves his forever home. He loves kids and would make a great family dog. He is crate trained and housebroken. No kitties please. Also, Russett would probably prefer to be the only dog in the home.

It’s past time for Russett to go to a home where he can lay on the couch next to you while you’re watching tv and hopefully sleep at the foot of your bed. All he needs is a little bit of patience and understanding to help him settle in and become the best dog he can be. Do you or someone you know have a place in your heart and home for Russett? Please come out and spend some time with him and we know you will fall in love with him as we have.
