Heartworm is a serious and potentially fatal disease that damages a dog's heart and lungs. Without treatment, the condition can become life-threatening. The good news is that heartworm is treatable. The difficult part is the cost.
 
Right now, multiple dogs in our program are undergoing heartworm treatment. Between testing, medications, veterinary visits, and lifesaving injections, the expenses add up quickly.
